Road Remains Closed Off In Montrose County After Mudslide

DELTA, Colo. (CBS4) – Weather conditions are making things difficult for road crews trying to repair a portion of National Forest road in the Uncompahgre Plateau.
New photos show how melting snow and recent rain have dislodged mud and rock on Forest Road 540 in Montrose County. Approximately five miles of the dirt road are currently closed, and barriers have been placed above and below the road in areas that are slumping.
