Rep. DeGette Once Again To Try To Declassify Marijuana At Federal Level
DENVER (CBS4) – U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette has reintroduced a bill to declassify marijuana at the federal level.
DeGette, D-Colorado, says her bill would keep states safe from federal regulation if marijuana is ever legal. She originally introduced the bill in 2012 but had a hard time getting it to go anywhere.
DeGette hopes there’s more support now, but knows the presidential election may be a hard time to get legislation passed.
