Protective Vest On The Way For Another K-9 Officer In Douglas County

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (CBS4) – A law enforcement K-9 will soon be safer thanks to a charitable donation.
Douglas County Sheriff’s K-9 officer Colt will soon get a bullet- and stab-protective vest. It was provided by the nonprofit organization Vested InterestLINK: vik9s.org
Several dogs on the force already have such vests. Each one costs between $1,700 and $2,200, and K-9 handler Deputy Todd Tucker told CBS4 he’s excited for the newest one.
