Professional Tree Climbers Competing In Longmont

LONGMONT, Colo. (AP) — Tree-climbers from the United States and Canada will get a chance to strut their stuff this weekend, demonstrating their ability to use ropes and harnesses to swing from limb to limb as they do their work.
The North American Tree Climbing Championship is being held this weekend in Longmont’s Thompson Park, featuring more than 40 arborists.
Spokesman Wes Kocher says professional arborists protect the community by cutting down limbs that could hurt pedestrians. H
