Park County Retracts Resignation Story

BAILEY, Colo. (CBS4)– Park County Administrator Tom Eisenman says county officials- including Sheriff Fred Wegener- who reported the resignation of Undersheriff Monte Gore had “erroneous information,” and Eisenman said the undersheriff has not stepped down.
“There’s no letter of resignation from Monte Gore as of March 22, 2016,” said Eisenman.
He said the undersheriff remains on paid administrative leave, as he has been since February 29.
