One Dead In Apartment Fire On York Street

DENVER (CBS4) – Firefighters responded to an apartment fire at 5:16 a.m. Monday on 1355 York Street.
The source of the fire was a unit on the third floor of the apartment building, where one person was found dead.
Thirty to fifty people were evacuated from the apartment due to carbon monoxide levels and other chemicals.
Damage to the rest of the building aside from the unit was minimal. Much of York Street was blocked off by fire trucks and working authorities.
