Officer Struck By Car On I-70 While Responding To Call

DENVER (CBS4) – Two people including an officer were injured in a car crash Friday morning on Interstate 70.
A Denver police officer was outside the patrol car while responding to a vehicle fire on I-70 at Peoria Street. At approximately 5:30 a.m., another vehicle driving by struck the officer.
The police cruiser was slightly damaged with a visible dent, and taken away by tow truck at 7 a.m. The other vehicle involved, a dark sedan, was extensively damaged.
