New Wildfire Burns Near Carter Lake, Forces Some Evacuations

BERTHOUD, Colo. (CBS4) – A wildfire burning near Carter Lake in Larimer County came close to a home on Friday.

The fire forced the evacuation of between six and eight homes in the Sedona Hills subdivision, just east of the lake.
Carter Lake is located west of the town of Berthoud.

The fire was described as being between 10 and 15 acres just at 5 p.m.
