Nearly 9-Foot Alligator Discovered In Garage

FULSHEAR, Texas (AP) — A nearly 9-foot alligator has been removed from a Houston-area garage after the homeowner found the reptile beside his lawn mower.
Police in Fulshear (FUHL’-shur) say nobody was hurt in Thursday night’s incident and the animal was being transported to an alligator refuge.
Capt. Mike McCoy says the alligator is quite big — at 8 feet 9 inches and nearly 300 pounds.
