Military: Colorado Air Base May Have Released Toxic Chemical

DENVER (AP) — The military says firefighting foam containing toxic chemicals may have been released from an Air Force base near two Colorado communities where the chemicals were detected in drinking water systems.
Officials said Wednesday they identified six sites at Peterson Air Force Base where the foam may have escaped. They recommended a follow-up investigation.
The foam contained perfluorinated compounds, or PFCs. They’ve been linked to prostate, kidney and testicular cancer alo
