Man To Be Sentenced In Racially-Motivated Attack

DENVER (CBS4) – A man who attacked a woman in what the victim claims was a racially-motivated assault will be sentenced on Monday afternoon.
Christopher Derby pleaded guilty to a bias-motivated crime resulting in bodily injury in May.
Jacqueline Fitzpatrick, 23, was attacked on South Broadway early in the morning on July 25, 2015 while she and her friends waited for an Uber ride. That’s when two Caucasian men, including Derby, approached them.
Derby has an extensive criminal history
