Man Gets Life In Prison, Plus 60 Years For Arvada Slaying

GOLDEN, Colo. (AP) — A man charged in a fatal shooting at an Arvada home has been sentenced to life in prison plus 60 years.
The Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office says 54-year-old Billy Scott was sentenced Thursday for the March 9, 2015, death of 44-year-old Troy Pitman. Scott was convicted in June of first-degree murder and several other charges.
