Man Charged In Attempted Murder Of Officer

DENVER (CBS4)– A man accused of shooting and seriously wounding a Denver police officer last week has been formally charged.
Jason Wood has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and robbery.
The charges allege that on Dec. 8, Wood opened fire on Denver Police Officer Tony Lopez, Jr. during a traffic stop near Federal Boulevard and Clyde Place and then carjacked a vehicle in an attempt to get away.
