Man arrested in Denver on murder charge in 1989 Mesa County slaying

Rafael Aguialar Garcia was taken into custody by Denver police officers on a warrant for first-degree murder. He is accused of fatally shooting Charles Porter on July 4, 1989, in Palisade.
A witness at the time identified Garcia as the shooter, the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office said.
