Man appears on assault charges for Vail attack on girlfriend

A man appeared in Eagle County Court on Tuesday on charges of assault, false imprisonment and harassment for an alleged attack on his girlfriend in Vail that was thwarted by a good Samaritan who came to her rescue, officials said.
