Latest Forecast: Temperatures Inching Close To The Record

DENVER (CBS4) – On the weather map we have high pressure over the southern Rockies and a storm system pushing in on the Pacific Northwest. Colorado is in the middle of these two systems and is experiencing a strong southwesterly flow. This is bringing in mid and upper level clouds along with much warmer air. Highs across the northeastern plains should make it into the low 80s at least for Friday. The current record for October 14 is 85° set 54 years ago in 1962.
