DENVER (CBS4) – On the weather map we have a large high pressure ridge still locked over the nation’s mid-section. This is creating a huge heat wave for millions of people across the country including Colorado. High temperatures across the eastern plains will rise into the 90s and 100s for Friday afternoon. With 70s and 80s in the mountains and mostly 90s on the western slope.
