It’s Bee Swarming Season In Colorado, But Don’t Kill Them

DENVER (CBS4) – It’s the time of year when bees start swarming along the Front Range.
In Colorado bees will usually swarm from April through June. It happens when a hive gets too crowded. The old queen takes about half of the bees to find a new home.

Swarms are normally docile but can be alarming because the number of bees.
Bees are precious resource to the ecosystem. Experts urge people who see a swarm not to kill the bees or spray them with water.
