Islamic State Behind Paris Police Attack

PARIS (CBS4) – The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for the deadly shooting on Paris’ Champs Elysees.
One police officer was killed and two others were critically hurt in the attack.
A statement from the group’s news agency gave a pseudonym for the shooting indicating he was Belgian. The attacker, identified as Aby Yusuf al-Beljiki, opened fire on a police can before being killed. That pseudonym indicates the attacker had some sort of ties to Islamic extremism.
