Iowa Working To Have Shooting Suspect Returned From Denver

DEWITT, Iowa (AP) — Officials are working to have an Illinois man returned from Colorado to face prosecution for a shooting in front of the DeWitt Police Department building in eastern Iowa.
The Iowa Department of Public Safety said in a web posting Wednesday that 26-year-old Alejandro Andres Lira was arrested last week in Denver and faces Iowa charges of kidnapping, robbery and attempted murder.
