Inmate Suspected Of Assaulting James Holmes

DENVER (CBS4)– An inmate will be disciplined after he allegedly assaulted the Aurora theater gunman in prison.
Mark Daniels will be charged with assault after he allegedly assaulted James Holmes and a correctional officer. The charges will be addressed internally with a hearing inside the prison.
The assault allegedly happened at the Colorado State Penitentiary on Oct. 8. Apparently Daniels lunged at Holmes and took a few swings at him when inmates were passing each other in a hallway.
