Homeowner Grateful For Firefighters Who Saved House From Flames

NEDERLAND, Colo. (CBS4) – A house photographed within reach of the Cold Springs Fire has survived the flames thanks to firefighters.
A picture from YouReporter Joe McManus shows just how close the fire came to destroying the home in Nederland. Another, later photo from McManus shows a slurry bomber dropping flame retardant on the nearby treeline.

The owners said they could only watch as the flames got closer.
