Hit-And-Run Driver Kills 38 Sheep Near Monte Vista

MONTE VISTA, Colo. (CBS4)– Colorado State Patrol troopers arrested a hit-and-run driver who allegedly struck and killed more than three dozen sheep on Tuesday night.
About 6:42 p.m. Tuesday, troopers rushed to a crash on Rio Grande County Road 8 South about eight miles southeast of Monte Vista that killed 38 sheep.The investigation revealed that Lynn Ann Michel, 47 of Monte Vista was driving a 2005 Isuzu SUV westbound on County Road 8 and ran into a herd of sheep in the roadway.
