Grass Fire Burning In Kiowa County

HASWELL, Colo. (CBS4)– A grass fire burned in rural Kiowa County on Wednesday morning.The fire burned about three miles west of Haswell which is northeast of La Junta in southeast Colorado. That’s about 166 miles southeast of Denver.(credit: Kiowa County)
The main road in that area is Highway 96 and it remains closed at mile marker 145 due to heavy smoke.What started the fire remains under investigation.Wildfire Resources
