Funeral Held For Major Killed In Afghanistan Helicopter Crash

AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) – An Air Force major killed in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan is being laid to rest at the Air Force Academy.
A funeral for 45-year-old Major Phyllis Pelky of Rio Rancho, New Mexico will be held Monday morning in the school’s chapel followed by a burial at the academy’s cemetery.
Pelky was one of five people killed in the crash of a British helicopter in Kabul on Oct. 11 as it landed at a NATO post in Kabul.
