Former Fire Chief, Wife Arrested In Theft Case

STERLING, Colo. (AP) – The former Sterling Fire Department chief and his wife have been arrested on suspicion of theft.
Kurtis Vogel, who is currently the Eagle County fire chief, and his wife, Hope, are accused of stealing over $120,000 in money, equipment and memorabilia from the Sterling Fire Department before leaving the department in April.
