Former Boulder Detective Guilty Of Interfering With Sex Luring Sting

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) – A jury has found former Boulder police detective Jack Gardner guilty of interfering with an Internet child luring case.
A man had planned to meet up with a 13-year-old girl he thought he’d been talking to on-line but Gardner sent the man an email warning him the meeting was actually a police sting.
Garner’s attorney argued his client’s mental state had been impaired when he sent the email because Gardner had been upset about not being more involved
