Flags Lowered For Funeral Of Colorado Adjutant General

DENVER (AP) – Flags on Colorado buildings are flying at half-staff as the longest serving leader of the state’s National Guard is laid to rest.
Maj. Gen. John L. France will be buried with military honors Monday at Fort Logan Cemetery in Denver, including a 13-round cannon salute and an F-16 flyover. The 11 a.m. ceremony is open to the public.
France died Oct. 15 at the age of 82. He served as Colorado’s adjutant general from 1979 to 1995 and was one of the last surviving pilot
