Firefighters Extinguish 2-Alarm Brush Fire Near Castle Rock

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (CBS4)– Monday’s afternoon rain helped firefighters battling a two-alarm brush fire that burned near Castle Rock.
The fire burned about two acres a half-mile north of 3833 Crowfoot Valley Road about 2:40 p.m. Monday.Crews rushed to the fire and declared it was a two-alarm fire. The fire was fueled by strong winds and dry vegetation. Firefighters battled a brush fire near Castle Rock on Monday (credit: CBS)
