Firefighters Battle Grass Fire South Of Highlands Ranch

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (CBS4) – A grass fire broke out in Front Range dry conditions early Friday afternoon.

The fire had burned at least 10 acres about 30 minutes after it ignited south of Highlands Ranch in Douglas County.

The fire is located on the east side of Highway 85 south of Titan Road. Some large homes are not far from the burn area.

Multiple fire crews are responding to the location.
So far it’s not clear how the fire started.
