Fast-Spreading Weld County Wildfire Burns 2 Structures, Vehicles

WELD COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – A wildfire in southwestern Weld County destroyed two structures and two cars on Monday afternoon.

The 30-acre fire burned near Highway 52 north of Erie and south of Longmont. Mountain View Fire officials said high winds fueled the fire, and it spread in exceptionally dry conditions. It has been more than a month since there has been measurable precipitation in the Denver metro area.
