Family, Dog Survive 2-Alarm Apartment Fire

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)– A family and their dog escaped their burning apartment in Aurora on Tuesday morning.
A fire broke out at the Abrigo Apartments near 30th and Peoria about 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday and quickly escalated into a two-alarm fire.
Firefighters said the fire was caused by a 4-year-old using a lighter.
The family inside was able to escape. Their dog was rescued from the apartment and received oxygen from first responders. “Princess” is expected to be okay.
