Emergency Shelters Provided For Stranded Travelers On Vail Pass

SUMMIT COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – Snow has been piling up on Vail Pass but things were a little smoother on the roads on Tuesday.
Interstate 70 over the pass was closed much of the day Monday and into the overnight hours, stranding dozens of drivers who couldn’t find a hotel for the night. It reopened without many problems Tuesday morning.
The Red Cross opened emergency shelters in Vail to house approximately 60 people who were stranded.
