Early Season Avalanches Strike Summit County, 1 Skier Injured

SUMMIT COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – The ski season has just begun, but already the threat of avalanches is underway. There were three slides in Summit County over the weekend, one of which buried a backcountry skier near Breckenridge.
The Summit  County Rescue Group responded to multiple avalanches over the weekend, and had to rescue a skier from a large slide on Saturday. The skier had triggered an avalanche and was partially buried on the east ridge of Bald Mountain. He was able to c
