Drivers Delayed Along I-70 For Rockfall Mitigation

GEORGETOWN, Colo. (CBS4)– Drivers along Interstate 70 near Georgetown were delayed on Tuesday for rockfall mitigation.
Crews from the Colorado Department of Transportation conducted rockfall mitigation work.

CDOT crews closed the road for 20 minutes at a time which resulted in delays of up to two hours for drivers.
The helicopter placed netting along the top of some peaks to keep rocks from falling onto the lanes below.
