Driver Who Struck Officer, Leaving Him With Broken Bones, Suspected Of DUI

DENVER (CBS4) – A driver who struck and badly injured a Denver officer early Friday morning is suspected of driving under the influence.
While the officer was in the midst of making a DUI arrest at 4 a.m. on Interstate 25 at 38th he was suddenly hit by a different driver who police suspect was traveling “at a high rate of speed.”
Police said the officer is not being identified. He was taken to the hospital and reportedly has broken bones.
