Deputy ‘Alert And Talking’ After Accidentally Shooting Self During Training

LONGMONT, Colo. (CBS4) – A Boulder County sheriff’s deputy was injured after accidentally shooting himself Thursday morning during monthly handgun training.
According to Heidi Prentup with the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred just after 9:30 a.m. at a shooting range in Longmont and the Longmont Police Department is assisting in the investigation.
