Departing Plane Possibly Caused Fire Near Runway At DIA

DENVER (CBS4)– A fire, possibly caused by a departing plane, burned off the runway on the east side of the airfield at Denver International Airport on Friday afternoon.The fire has been contained.United Airlines 328 en route to Hawaii returned to DIA and taxied to the gate under it’s own power just after 12:30 p.m.
What ignited the fire is being investigated. It is unclear whether anyone was injured.
