Cyclist In Ironman Competition Struck By Vehicle

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)– A cyclist was struck while riding in the Ironman Triathlon in Boulder on Sunday morning.The cyclist was struck at North Foothills Highway, or Highway 36, and just north of Broadway in Boulder just after 10 a.m. on Sunday.
The cyclist was transported to Boulder Community Hospital.Traffic was detoured around the accident northbound Hwy 36 from Broadway during the investigation and cleanup.It is unclear what led up to the accident or how badly the cyclist was injured.
