Couple Sentenced In Child Abuse Case After Starving Daughter

DENVER (CBS4) – A woman who pleaded guilty to child abuse charges in the malnourishment and mistreatment of her daughter was sentenced to prison on Friday, along with her husband, the girl’s father.
Kathleen Sanchez pleaded guilty to one count of child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury in June. She was sentenced to 16 years behind bars.
Her husband, Kenny Sanchez, was sentenced to eight years in prison.
