Colorado State Forest Service Going After Tree-Killing Pest

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — The Colorado State Forest Service is trying to determine the best way to stop a tree killer called the emerald ash borer.
The service said Monday that it will be working with the city and county of Boulder to place more than 120 traps this year. The test will help in researching the most effective trapping methods for the nonnative pest and in detecting whether it is present outside the city of Boulder, the only place it has been detected so far in Colorado.
