Colorado Moves Toward Front Range Rail Study

DENVER (AP) — Passenger rail service along Interstate 25 in Colorado? The state may be looking into the idea more carefully under a bill that passed the state Senate Thursday.
The Senate voted 24-11 to order a report on the feasibility of Front Range rail service by the end of the year. The study is part of a bill to extend the work of an existing panel looking at the Southwest Chief. That’s an Amtrak line that runs through southern Colorado.
