Citing Medical Issue, Angels Return LHP Friedrich To Rockies

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — The Los Angeles Angels have returned reliever Christian Friedrich to the Colorado Rockies due to concerns over an undisclosed medical issue.
The Angels claimed the left-hander off waivers from the Rockies two weeks ago.
The Angels said Friday night that a physical raised concerns over “Friedrich’s ability to play at his accustomed level.” The commissioner’s office then allowed the Angels to send Friedrich back to Colorado.
