DENVER (CBS4) — Cable news network Al Jazeera America says it is shutting down just 2 1/2 years after its launch and weeks after a controversial documentary that tried to link Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning to human growth hormones.
Called “The Dark Side,” the Al-Jazeera documentary raised questions as to whether Manning used the banned substance human growth hormone known as HGH.
