Broomfield man convicted of murder in “ambush” shooting

A Broomfield man was convicted of first-degree murder Friday and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Matthew Britton, 55, was convicted in the shooting death of Kobe Wiley last year inside Britton’s Broomfield home.
Wiley was shot five times in the back of the head, once at close range, according to the Broomfield County District Attorney’s Office.
“This was an act of cowardice,” Chief Deputy District Attorney Patrick Costigan told the jury
