Brief Cool Down Before Holiday Weekend Warm Up

DENVER (CBS4) – Afternoon thunderstorms fired up in eastern Colorado, dropping up to 2 inch in diameter hail in some areas. A Tornado Warning was even in place for awhile near Flagler. Some areas got hit hard with hail. Here in Denver, we had sunny skies until around Noon…then clouds began to move in and kept our high to 85 degrees downtown, 87 officially out at the airport – which is exactly normal for this time of year and just three degrees cooler than Wednesda
