Boy Slipped, Hit Head While Hiking On Hanging Lake Trail

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)– An 8-year-old boy’s death on the popular Hanging Lake Trail is apparently an accident.
The child, said to be from the Front Range, tripped and hit his head on a rock while hiking with his family near a waterfall at the top of the trail in Glenwood Canyon.

Despite CPR attempts, he did not survive.
The boy’s name has not been released. The coroner has not released the official cause of death.
