Beaver Creek Fire now at more than 15,000 acres

The Beaver Creek Fire, burning through heavy, beetle-killed timber north of Walden since June 19, grew to more than 15,000 acres Sunday.
The fire has not reached the Wyoming state line, but a haze of smoke is expected to become visible in Laramie by early afternoon, according to the U.S. Forest Service. The fire is burning in the Routt National Forest, on Bureau of Land Management land and on private land.
