Avalanche Claim Bodnarchuk On Waivers From Blue Jackets

DENVER (AP) — The Colorado Avalanche bolstered their blue line by claiming defenseman Andrew Bodnarchuk on waivers Tuesday from Columbus.
The addition of Bodnarchuk comes a day after the Avalanche had defenseman Erik Johnson suffer a lower-body injury in the second period of a win over Los Angeles. Johnson didn’t return to the game and coach Patrick Roy had no update on his condition after the game.
