Alcohol Suspected In Wrong-Way Fatal Crash

WELD COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – Two people are dead after a wrong-way driver slammed into oncoming traffic Saturday night.
The crash happened late at night in Weld County just south of Eaton. The drivers of both vehicles were killed.

Police say they suspect alcohol was a factor.
“There was a bottle of vodka found in the pickup, so we are suspecting alcohol at this time. That was the only indicator,” Trooper Ben Simpson with the Colorado State Patrol said.
